Soil residues of sulfosulfuron herbicide in wheat field determined by bioassay and laboratory methods

چکیده
Although herbicides are used for weed control in the field, their residues can have unfavourable environmental impacts. The objective was to determine sulfosulfuron herbicide wheat field soil using bioassay and laboratory (HPLC) methods. two-year experiment a randomised complete-block design (RCBD) with three replicates at control, recommended (26.6 g/ha, D1) doubled (53.2 D2) rates. Soil samples (0–10 cm) were collected randomly intervals ranging from 0 125 days after spraying. Greenhouse experiments (bioassay method) eight plant species indicated garden cress (Lepidium sativum L.) corn (Zea mays as most least sensitive ones, respectively. stable D1 up 90 use, 1.41 0.52 μg/kg 2019 2020, However, use no observed. With time both treatments, decreased or percentage of loss increased. sensitivity HPLC method detect less than method. three-parameter sigmoid equation mean DT50 D1, averaged two years it 19 days.

Reliability of Bioassay Tests to Indicate Herbicide Residues in Compost Of Varying Salinity and Herbicide Levels
A recent study evaluated the effects of compost salinity on the performance of plants often used in herbicide bioassays and demonstrated that salinity and pH of compost test media significantly influenced plant growth, leading in some cases to stunting, yieldreduction and total-loss of seedlings (Brinton, et al. 2005). The principal cause of harmful effects was shown to be salinity with seconda...
متن کاملDevelopment of a Soil Bioassay for Triclopyr Residues and Comparison with a Laboratory Extraction
The use of triclopyr for the removal of woody and broad-leaf vegetation in right-of-ways and agricultural settings has been proposed for Alaska. Triclopyr concentrations in soil after application are of concern because residual herbicide may affect growth of subsequent vegetation. In order to measure triclopyr residues in soil and determine the amount of herbicide taken up by the plant, soil bi...
متن کاملHerbicide residues in composts: pH and salinity affect the growth of bioassay plants.
Herbicide residues have raised new concern since 1999 when damage to plants appeared to result from composted turf clippings (Bary et al. 2001; Rynk 2000). Other case reports of some incidents suggested that other unknown sources of phytotoxicity were present in composts used in gardens (Nielson 2003). Several plant bioassays have been reported to test composts for herbicide residues (SPU 2002;...
متن کاملChromatographic Methods for Determination of Herbicide Residues in Various Matrices
Modern agriculture depends to a large degree on the use of herbicides in order to cotrol weeds that compete with the crops. Herbicides are widely used in agricultural crops to control weeds they may produce important yield reductions. The introduction of these pesticides in the food chain via the environment can be considered a risk for human health due to the toxicity of the most of these comp...
